"Intimate, dimly lit, jazz infused Speakeasy
created for the discerning bon vivant.
Transport back to a much forgotten era
where great service, cocktails, tommy guns & good times were king."
In answer to W.C Fields, here is an opportunity to thank the women that drove you to drink. Being the "water of life", Eau de Vie is a french expression taken from the alchemic notion that spirits were an elixir of life. From the early days of medicinal use to modern times, alcohol is a means of curing problems of the heart as well as bonding with close friends or simply to enjoy in good company.
Celebrating the end of another long week, M & I were glad to retreat into
a quasi-remote destination of overindulgence.
Bloomsbury Bitter
Left is a frosty mix of Tanqueray, Amaro, spiced lager syrup, honey & white grapefruit. Topped with soda & floral tincture, presented in a small beer mug.
Frankie Valli
Right was inspired by the Brooklyn cocktail. Elijah Craig 12 and Maraschino liqueur are stirred down with two types of sherry, Oloroso and Fino. Rich & boozy, finished off with some chocolate bitters.
Mesha
a crowd pleasing mix of Ketel One Citroen Vodka, raspberry, falernum & pineapple. Sweet and downright seductive.
